Make sure you are proactive in meeting other small business owners by networking and attending industry groups. Remember that your support system is also your family and friends.

In a world full of distractions being present is a real challenge. This practice is called mindfulness, and it is about being focused on what you are currently doing, the weather, the sound, and not thinking about the past or the future. Mindfulness can bring a lot of benefits, such as: relieve stress, improve sleep and reduce chronic pain.

Mindfulness and meditation work hand-in-hand. While mindfulness can be practiced anywhere at any time, meditation needs more commitment, so find a place where you can be silent for at least 10 minutes. Given that we use our phones for everything nowadays, it is very healthy to disconnect once in a while. Unplugging yourself from all the technology and distractions helps you practice mindfulness, gives you time with your family and time for yourself.
